James 3:1-12

This verse talks abt taming the tongue. Hmm.. We all shld really be careful of the things we speak because it can either bring a person up or throw the person down flat!

And it can also bring life and death to people.
"The tongue has the power of life and death, and those who love it will eat its fruit." Proverbs 18:21

Many people are hurt or encouraged coz of the tiniest thing in the world -- the tongue.

I find that, this tongue tat we all haf is so powerful. Sometimes, when I hear things from ppl tat are not very nice, I'll get so upset over it for days and it causes so much hurts in mi. I'm sure we all do. It's somehow sad to know tat ppl are saying all these things and doing all these in front of u and even behind ur back! But it also brings joy and encouragement to us when people appreciate the things we've done. All of us want recognition.. want someone to praise us. Who doesn't want it?

Therefore, we shld really watch our tongues of whatever things tat is coming out from it. Or else someone will be hurt or encouraged by u. The heart (where God is) is the right key to right speech.

12 words you can say to transform life, but muz use it sincerely:
  • Please. Thank you. ( this is to show appreciation)
  • I'm sorry. ( breaking down walls and build up relations)
  • I love you. ( too many people think romance but it's deeper than tat. we shld love our frenz, enemies, family)
  • I'm praying for you. ( say it and do it! let others know tat u really care. you talk to ppl abt God, you shld oso talk to God abt ppl.)

Give God your tongue and heart each day and let Him use u to be a blessing to others! :)

"Set a guard over my mouth, O Lord; keep watch over the door of my lips. Let not my heart be drawn to what is evil, to take part in wicked deeds with men who are evildoers; let me not eat of their delicacies." Psalm 141 : 3-4
